Good call, thanks! I had the covers off recently, and all looked reasonably good. I didn't see any pooling
or sludge. However, there is a noisy lifter that can't be quieted down, so I attribute that to lack or proper
maintenance, a clogged line due to running dirty oil or using pennzoil as you have stated.
I only have the problem in one chamber . . but it's definitely worth a good looking at.
A long avoided compression check will assist in determining overall condition too.
I've purposely stayed away from doing much, as one runs the risk of opening up a can of worms.
